The ability to track the time of day in two timezones at once is made possible by the Calibre 89-02. The automatic calibre was developed in-house by the German manufactory, it consists of 430 components!

The travel companion from Glashütte Original will now finally be available in a 44 mm stainless steel case after it will be officially presented during Baselworld 2018 in March.

31 Baselworld 2017 novelties that really impressed me.

Why 31? That´s the number I counted when finishing my choice and putting the story together.  Please do not expect a product listing of ticking superlatives here or a ranking of the most expensive / crazy watches. What I will show you instead are watches that really impressed me - 31 in total. Either through their good and cool design, technical realization, impeccable quality and/or reasonable price.

The Glashütte Original calibre 36 features a power reserve of up to 100 hours at a frequency of 4 Hertz (28,800 A/h). This high degree of autonomy is achieved with the use of only one spring barrel, developed specifically for this purpose: increased diameter and a smaller barrel arbour made it possible to lengthen the mainspring and sharply increase the number of winding turns.
